Determination And Goals

Before you seek the path of success, you have to strike an understanding with yourself. Before you can believe. Before you can want and desire. You have to have this understanding.

The starting point
It all starts with you. If you believe you need to look outside of yourself than you have lost ground before you have even begun. No matter what you goal, you are the only true source for all that your quest starts from.

The center
This one is trick. There is a a difference from being centered and being self centered. True winners and leaders understand these principles. President Barack Obama stands tall as a person who fights to maintain that balance. He knows while all his efforts comes from him, his energies are fed by those who surround him. Rarely will you ever hear a discourse spoken by this man does it center on the I as standing alone. Instead he emphasizes his being the I at the center of the union to make all goals move forward and we as the contributors to the inertia that propels it forward.

Success
Depends on working with what we have within and at our disposal to draw upon. It is personal determination that sparks the reaction. It our actions that navigate us in the direction of our goal. And it is never better than when “we” get there.

In real life
If we want to succeed, we have to have the tenacity of Elmer Fudd within us. And don't forget Elmer did give in one or two times. The deal is eventually he kept coming back. No he never got the “wabbit” and from time to time had problems with a duck, but there he was again back at it. Being a cartoon and a parody of the the pursuit of success Elmer had a flaw. Mr. Fudd never learned from his mistakes and kept making them over and over. One of his biggest was not to move on to something else. It was obvious hunting wasn't his thing. Let's face it cartoons about bowling against Bug Bunny wouldn't have had the same appeal. For you and I putting down the rifle and picking another form of recreation or work to succeed in is more viable. Still if you want to see real life Elmer Fudds who have all the the tenacity but never seem to do much better, check out your local golf course.
